How do I become a member of the Groove Finders Network?

Becoming a member of the Groove Finders Network is easy.  Follow these three steps: 

1) Create a username, password and submit a valid parent email address.  To do this select Sign Up from the findingthegroove.com main page and fill out the form.  We will send your parents a confirmation email with a link to your activation code. 

2) Have your parents check their email to find our confirmation letter that will contain the link where you will be able to activate your account.  Some email providers may automatically put emails from us into your ''junk'' or ''bulk'' mail folder. Please check for email from us there if you do not see the email in your Inbox. 

3) Follow the simple steps to accepting our terms of conditions, privacy policy, fill out some basic information about yourself and you’re ready to go.   

How do I upload my videos to the Groove Finders Network?

All members of the Groove Finders Network have their own individual pages to upload and save videos.  From your page click on Upload My Video and read the instructions for how to create your own music library.  Once you have successfully uploaded a video to your page it will then be reviewed by our professional staff for approval for posting to the entire network.  Once approved, your videos will be eligible for submission to all the concert events and associated contests as well as our Featured Videos of the week on the Finding The Groove Home Page. 

I uploaded my video but it does not play.  What should I do?

There are several steps you can take if you are not able to upload your video: 

1) Make sure you have the most recent version of Flash Video player

    installed on your computer. 

2) Make sure your video is saved in one of the supported formats -

    AVI, MPG, MOV, WMV, ASF, FLV, MP4 or as Quicktime Movies.

3) When naming your uploaded video make sure you do not use any

    spaces or special characters e.g., MyFirstVideo.mov.

My video takes a long time to upload.  What can I do?

If you are noticing increased waiting time to upload your video check your bandwidth with your Internet Service Provider (ISP).  Another option to increase upload performance is to optimize your video for webstreaming.  

I see an error code when I loaded my video.  What should I do?

Please email your userid name and the error code to info@findingthegroove.com and our support professionals will be able to analyze the problem. 

How do I search the groove finders network?

All visitors to Findingthegroove.com can search the Groove Finders Network and watch incredible musical performances by wonderful young musicians.  Visitors can click Search All Videos from the Findingthegroove.com main page.  Only members are able to save their favorites to their home page and no one is able to download any videos for their own personal use.

What if I forget my password?

So you can’t remember your password? No problem.  To be reminded of what your password is you need the email address used to activate your Finding the Groove account. Then, simply go to the login box on the Home Page and click on Forgot Password. 

What if I want to change my password?

There a few reasons you may need to change your password. Here are a few: if you think someone knows your password or your current password isn’t working. 

You can easily create a new password by clicking on Update My Account from your page and simply typing in a new password and resetting your account information.   

I lost my activation code. How do I get a new one?

If you think you have lost your confirmation letter that contained your account activation code or are having a problem completing your registration click here and we will send you an email with a new link. If you are still having a problem simply send an email to support@findingthegroove.com with your userid name and the email address that you used to sign up to be part of the network and our support team will contact you. 

How do I remove one my videos from my page?

You can easily update the search information (Title, Instruments, Style and Keywords) or replace your video content by clicking on Refresh Videos from your page and selecting the video you want to change.  You can then either update the search fields or upload a new video.
