Introduction
Findingthegroove.com strives to create a safe, educational and entertaining place on the worldwide web for children between the ages of seven (7) and fourteen (14) years of age who have been registered, with their parent's consent, to showcase their musical abilities by submitting videos of their musical performances and statements concerning their musical experiences, to the website for viewing (via digital streams only). The website also provides an opportunity for registered users to have professional judges select videos to be part of multi-media presentations during the concerts as well performers to be included in the nationwide live concert events.
Our mission is to create a website that will advocate for childhood music education and participation by giving children access to view videos of young performing musicians as well as the opportunity to participate in these live musical concerts.
Registered kids between specified ages and living in specified zip code areas, will, on a regular basis as announced on the site, have the opportunity to participate in certain regional and national live musical concerts hosted by major arts presenters or educational institutions in conjunction with symphony orchestras (and the associated contests which will be judged by industry professionals).
Registered kids will also be given a personal page on the website to which links to their uploaded videos will be posted. Registrants will also have the opportunity to create links to their favorite videos uploaded by other registrants, which will also appear on their personal page of the website.
Nobody will have access to view or make any changes to a registrant's personal page of the website without first entering the username and password of the registrant. Users will not have the ability to download or otherwise capture any of the musical videos or other material on the website.
Kids can become a member of Findingthegroove.com for free. However, to do so, you must register and we must receive notice by e-mail, of your parent's permission for you to become a member. Parents will be required to click "I agree" to each of the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy before any child becomes a registered on the site. We encourage parents to be involved with all of their child's online activities.
Findingthegroove.com follows the FTC guidelines for compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and Rule. No personal information provided to Findingthegroove.com by its registered members is sold or rented to any third parties.

Registration is not required to browse the website. Registration is required to become a member and to upload videos and to participate in our contests.
Findingthegroove.com does not require, as a condition of participation, any Finding The Groove member to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary for them to participate in the website's activities.
What information is collected?
Findingthegroove.com does not collect more personal information than is reasonably necessary to permit a child to participate in activities on the site.
In order to use Findingthegroove.com, you must first complete a registration form and create a username and password. During registration, you are required to give the following information:

- Child's date of birth
- Child's gender
- Child's city, state, zip code, and country
- Parent or guardian's e-mail address
- Parent's phone number
Only the username and the title of your uploaded video(s) will be included with your posted content.
All videos submitted for posting on Findingthegroove.com are first available only on the submitting registrants' homepage. Then, the videos are screened by adult staff members to help ensure children's online safety and privacy, and once they pass the screening, they are made accessible to everyone visiting the website subject to the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy.
Users are not allowed to post any personally identifiable information and should not, when preparing their videos to upload, make any statements including personally identifiable information. (such as names, dates, locations, family names, teacher's names, school, etc. make any statements) on the videos.
Each registrant will also be asked to complete a series of questions concerning your musical life (i.e. what instrument(s) you play, if you sing and what voice type, what style(s) of music you play or sing, etc.) The answers to these questions, which will not require any personally identifiable information, will appear on each registrant's personal page of the site under the heading "My Musical Life", accessible only to the registrant.
Each registering visitor will be required to select a username and password. Password identification and authorization will be required before allowing a user access to any information provided to open a membership account. Registrants should not give this information to anyone else.
All personal information collected on Findingthegroove.com is done so directly from the parent. No personal information is collected from users through cookies or other passive means.
What About Finding The Groove Concerts and Associated Contests
On a regular basis, we will provide you with the opportunity to participate in regional or national contests that are governed by the contest rules available by clicking on Contest Rules in the Concert Events page of the site.
Winners will be announced by username only on the home page of the website. Winners will also be announced by their real name and address and other personally identifiable information, provided that the winner(s) and his or her parent have consented in writing to such identification.
You may reject any contest prize awarded to you.

Findingthegroove.com uses information provided during the registration process to create and maintain separate member registration records for each child. Parental e-mail addresses and phone numbers are used to communicate with members (through their parents) about activities on the site, the concerts (and associated contests) and other features. Username, date of birth, gender, city state, zip code and country are collected to help us develop the most appropriate content for our visitors and to select videos for participation in our concerts (and associated contests).
None of this information is sold or rented to any third parties.
